Statement of Faith

God: We believe there is only one God, Creator of all things, self-existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ: We believe in our Lord Jesus Christ, His eternal pre-existence, God  manifest in the flesh, His virgin birth, sinless life, divine miracles, vicarious and atoning death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension and exaltation, mediatorial work, and personal, imminent, and visible return in power and glory.

The Holy Spirit: We believe in God the Holy Spirit, who indwells all believers, enabling them to live holy lives and to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ despite opposition from the world, the flesh, and Satan.

The Scriptures: We believe that the Holy Scriptures, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, are given by God, verbally and fully inspired, without error, and preserved. They are entirely trustworthy and the final authority in all matters of faith and practice through the Authorized King James Version.

Man: We believe that Adam and Eve, created in the image of God, were tempted by Satan, the god of this world, and committed transgression against God’s Word; that their sin has passed to all people, who as a result are lost, and unable to save themselves from the wrath of God, and need to be saved.

Salvation: We believe that salvation is a gift of God to those who repent and personally believe in Jesus Christ; that it is accomplished by God’s grace through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit in acceptance of God’s Word.

Assurance of Salvation: We believe the born again experience has a continual and present influence in the life of a believer. That God which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.  That God is able to keep the believer from falling, and to present them faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.

Sanctified Living: We believe the Christian is being conformed to the image of Christ.  The continuance of a sinful life after conversion is contrary to God’s plan of salvation and all who name the name of Jesus Christ are called upon to repent from sin and turn to Christ for forgiveness.

The Resurrection: We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they who are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life with God, they who are lost unto the resurrection of eternal condemnation separated from God.

The Church: We believe in the spiritual unity of all true believers bond together by the Holy Spirit, the Universal Church, the Body of Christ, and the believer joined to the local church is the manifestation of this body.

The Great Commission: We believe that Christ commanded the Church to go into all the world and make disciples of all peoples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teaching those who believe to obey all that Christ commanded.
